Candle Care
Candle Care Tips:
- Keeping your candle wicks trimmed to about 1/8 of an inch, whether wooden or cotton. In some cases the higher the wick the higher the flam. Keeping your wick trimmed helps to control the height of the flame of a burning candle and reduces carbon emission.
- Always burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Never touch or move a burning candle.
- Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes or the flame becomes too high
- Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris
- Never extinguish candles with water
- Place burning candles at least three inches apart from one another.
- Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire
- On your very first burn; to avoid tunneling, allow a full melt pool across the whole top of your container.
- Never use a candle as a night light
- Drafty conditions can cause uneven burning. Ensure your candle is in a draft-free location.
- Any candle in a container should not be lit for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow your candle to cool completely prior to relighting and always trim your wooden wick prior to each burn. Burning a candle for longer than the recommended time may cause the glass to become over-heated and break.
- Travel Tins and any other metal containers will become hot. Be sure to protect the surface of where the candle will be placed.
- Always keep away from Children and pets.
